How to suppress DRC warnings in OrCAD Capture

While generating a schematic there may be few unwanted DRC warnings which you want to ignore. In Capture you can easily waive off these DRC’S for the entire design by following the below steps:

  1. Go to PCB > Design Rules Check.
  2. Select the Exception Setup
  3. Click on Add New and type in the DRC warning code for the warning you want to suppress.
  4. Click on the  icon to add the DRC warning. You can follow the same steps to add multiple DRCs.

Once done, warnings that you have added to the DRC exception list will no longer be reported.

Regards,

Yugandhar.
