Enhanced Component Explorer (Unified CIS)

Unified CIS is a component management system that provides an intuitive user interface to access components from various sources. You can view, search, and place components in the design from the following sources: 

• Cadence-supplied PSpice libraries 
• Cadence-supported external content providers – SamacSys, Ultra Librarian, and SnapEDA 
• My Workspace 
• Other Workspaces (for which you have access) 

Follow these steps to access this feature: 

Go to Place > Component. 

• The Component Explorer window opens. Select a source from the Categories browser (left pane). 
• View the details of components from different sources in the enhanced part browser (middle pane). 
• View the property details of components in the Property browser (upper-right pane). 
• View logical (schematic) symbol graphics and physical (physical footprint) symbol graphics (lower-right pane).
