Creating/Editing part category in the database

OrCAD X Capture CIS provides an excellent feature to create the category and subcategory in Capture Workspace, which will help categorize component details based on the user requirement. 

Follow these steps to create the same and explore this entranced feature: 

  • Open Component Explorer from Place > Component. 
  • Right-click on My Workspace and select Add Category. 

  • This will open the Category dialog box. Provide category details as needed, and by clicking on the + icon, add new property details for the component. 
  • Add the Property and Models details as needed, as shown below.
