DRC 'Run' Button Unresponsive in OrCAD Latest Version

Hello everyone,

I'm currently facing a challenge with the Design Rule Check (DRC) in the latest version of OrCAD. After setting up my design with a 555 timer, I proceeded to the DRC step, which, according to the online tutorial I followed, should not require additional setup before running. However, when I click the 'Run' button, there is no response from the software, and the action does not initiate. This issue persists despite ensuring that all settings are correctly configured and the design is saved.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with the DRC 'Run' button being unresponsive? Any insights on how to troubleshoot this or if there are specific settings that I might be missing would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

In the 'Design Rule Check' window, the 'Use Properties (Mode)' dropdown menu does not display any options for selection. It appears to be empty, and I'm unable to choose any mode for running the DRC.

Additionally, in the 'Report' section of the DRC, I am unable to specify a file path for the report generation. The usual method of browsing and selecting a destination folder is not functioning.

These issues are hindering my ability to perform a necessary DRC on my design. If anyone has experienced similar problems or has suggestions for resolving these issues, your input would be very helpful.

    Try using following steps:

    1. Close Capture if already Running
    2. Open and Edit in notepad (or in text editor) <installation-dir>/tools/bin/orCEFSettings.ini
    3. Add following line in this file :

    lang=en-US

    4. Save the file.
    5. Run Capture and check if issue still persists.
