Error Modifying Part Downloaded from Unified CIS

Hello,

I found a connector on the unified CIS and placed it in my schematic. Then I clicked "edit part" and changed the symbol. Unfortunately, whenever I save or try to close that tab, the symbol doesn't save and I get a bunch of error messages in the session log (pasted below). It seems the tool cannot find the path of the symbol file that was downloaded from the cloud, however I looked in my file explorer and it is in fact there (the exact path it's looking for). Perhaps it's a permissions issue?

I'm running the free trial of OrCad Capture 22.1 on Windows 10.

Here is the error log I get:

Could not find C:\Users\SSHERS~1\AppData\Local\Temp\CDN_SYMEDITOR_temp.olb
Could not find C:\USERS\SSHERS~1\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\CDN_SYMEDITOR_TEMP.OLB
INFO(ORDBDLL-1229): XMATIC : Creating Library..C:\USERS\SSHERS~1\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\CDN_SYMEDITOR_TEMP.OLB
INFO(ORDBDLL-1229): XMATIC : Saving Library..C:\USERS\SSHERS~1\APPDATA\LOCAL\TEMP\CDN_SYMEDITOR_TEMP.OLB

Thanks,

Sam

I tried making a new component symbol, copying and pasting the symbol drawing from the downloaded part, and adding it to an existing library. Now when I try to place the part I get this error:

The option Design --> Update Cache is greyed out for me at all times, whether the part is selected or not.

Hey tuck, you can select respective part entry under design cache and then Design > Update cache option would be enabled for you. Or you can directly click right mouse button on part entry under design for which you are getting this error as shown below:

Once cache for the concerned part is updated, you won't get this error anymore.
