OrCAD X Capture CIS has been introduced with an easy option to display custom properties directly in Component Explorer.

Following steps will help you display properties in the Part Browser window of Component Explorer:

  • Go to the category for which the part has been created.
  • Select the Show in Place Component check box to display the properties in the Part Browser window.

  • The property is now visible in the Part Browser.

Hope this feature helps you expedite the design creation.

In OrCAD 22.1, there's an issue with Ghostscript where it's unable to create a PDF for a entire schematic when using hierarchical design. This means that a when attempting to generate a PDF, only parts of the schematic may be included or it might not generate at all. This issue can disrupt of the design process and the hinder proper documentation..
