Characters in OrCAD Capture 23.1 library cannot be restored to default colors

In the OrCAD Capture 23.1 library editing environment, if the color of any character is changed from the default color to another color,

it cannot be restored to the default color again, even if there is an option for the default color, it does not work.

I found that this issue also exists in Capture 22.1、Capture 24.1,Is there a way to solve this problem?

Can you scroll down the color list as default color is listed below in the color options. You can select that. The default option shown above just reflects the color you choose currently. I believe you are using the latest released version. Do you face any other challenges after upgrading to 23.1?

The current issue is that in Orcad 23.1, Orcad 24.1, and Orcad 22.1, this problem exists. In the component symbol editing environment, for example, if the Part Reference or Part Value character is accidentally changed to another color, it cannot be selected back to the previous default.
We know that in Preferences, you can customize the display color of Part Reference and Part Value in the schematic, provided that the characters of our component symbols must use the default color. If you choose a different color when drawing the component symbol, the settings in Preferences will not affect this symbol.
Is there a solution to this problem?

I think you have misunderstood what is actually happening, if you select red for example, then red is the default color for that item - Red then gets shown as the default (If you move yiour mouse from the top (selection color) then Default will be in red. You need to pick Blue again further down the colour list to make it default.

Perhaps what I want to express is that the default color selection strategy in the symbol editor environment should be the same as that in the schematic editor environment,

Can you try to see what the default color selection for characters is in the schematic editor environment?

It is obvious that the default color strategy is correct in the schematic editing environment. And this strategy can also correspond to the previous OrCAD16.6 and OrCAD17.2.
