Schematic symbol library file is locked by a design and not released after closing capture

When editing schematic designs in capture, our shared schematic symbol libraries do not normally get locked.

But for one design, one of the ligrary files get locked and it does not release the lock when exiting Orcad capture.

Whichever user opens the design, a lock file is created, in their name, in our folder of shared schematic symbol libraries.

Closing capture does not delete this lock file. The user then needs to navigate to the folder and manually has to delete the file.

It is only for this one design, it does not happen for any other designs.

I cannot find any reference to this library file in the project, except in the cache and other libraries are in ths cache and they are not affected.

Have you added the library in project by 'Library > Add file' in Project manager?
Is there any possibility that two different users added this library in project after opening this design at their end?

In general, lock for the olb gets created only when we open the project and the library file in associated with that project with the help of Library > Add file. However, lock goes away when we close the project. If we add part from that library on the schematic by 'Place > Part' option, lock will not get generated.
Can you please check the opj file if there is any entry of the library file there or not?

If I delete the project and open the .DSN file then a new project is created.

In the Design Cache for this project there is a list of schematic components in several librararies.

Without adding a library file to the project, if I select Tools>Utilities>Show All Open Libraries and Designs... the affected library file is listed and no other library files.

Follow this same procedure for all other projest/designs, there are no library files listed.

If I now navigate to the folder where all the libraries are stored only the affected library has a lock file associated to it.

This lock file does not affect any other designs I or anyone else opens. It only affects users when they try to open the library to make changes to it.

When I exit or quit the affected project/design and close down Orcad Capture, the lock file is not deleted.

This is the only design this happens too. It does the same thing for all user that open the design and the lock file is owned by the person that opens the design.

As it may need data sharing to debug this issue, I will be contacting you through separate channel of communication.
