How to cross probe between Live BOM and schematic canvas

OrCAD X Capture CIS provides an interesting feature to cross probe between Live BOM and schematic canvas, which is available for designs present in your Cloud Workspace. Selecting a component in Live BOM immediately selects the component in OrCAD X Capture and snaps you to a closeup of the same component in the layout in Allegro PCB Editor. This feature saves a great deal of time and energy spent searching for the component.

Follow these steps to cross probe between Live BOM and schematic canvas:

  1. Save the design and choose Tools > Live BOM.
  2. Right Click on the component and select Cross Probe.

3. The component will get highlighted on the schematic canvas as well as in Allegro PCB Editor.
