Replacing the part in the design with another part.

Replace cache is an extremely useful feature available in Capture CIS. This command is used to replace the selected part in the design with a desired part from the library.

You can use this feature by right clicking on library part present in Project Manager.

This provides Replace Cache Dialogue Box.

Using this box, you can choose to preserve schematic part properties or replace schematic part properties by selecting the appropriate action and browsing the required Part Library.
