OrCAD X place database Part greyed out if the window is undocked

This one had me scratching my head for a couple of days. I just started creating a CIS database and could not place a part out of it, the menu item is greyed out. This whole time I had the window undocked, today I tried it with the window docked and it worked, undocked the window again and place part is greyed out, docked the window and place part is not grey out.

Docked

Undocked

Anyone else run into this?

Please try placing the part directly by double clicking on the CIS Explorer entry (instead of RMB>Place database Part option) from the undocked window.

    Hi Akshay,

Yes, if you double click on the line item it will place the part.

Hopefully Cadence will get some of these annoying bugs like this fixed soon.
