How to link a schematic component to a component present in Cloud workspace in OrCAD X Capture CIS

OrCAD X Capture CIS provides an amazing feature to link your schematic components to components present in your Cloud workspace, which will help you access OrCAD X Capture CIS features.

Follow the steps below to link a schematic component to a component present in your workspace:

  1. Right-click on the schematic component and select Link Database Component.

It opens the Component Explorer tab and shows the list of matching components in the workspace. 

2. Select the required component and right-click on the component and choose Link Database Component.

After linking the schematic component with the database component, it will get updated with the database properties on the schematic.

Note: Make sure that you have CIS Data Source set to Cloud in the Workspace Configuration dialog box.
