Displaying the variant name in the Capture CIS BOM variant output

Capture provides an easy and additional feature to display the variant name in the Capture CIS BOM output.

Follow these steps to explore this feature:

1. Double-click on the title block from the first schematic page of the schematic design to open its properties. The Edit Properties dialog box appears. Here, you need to add a new property named Variant Name to the title block.

2. Now, go to Reports > CIS Bill of Materials > Standard. The Standard Bill of Materials dialog box displays.

3. From the Select Properties list, move Variant Name to the Output Format list.

4. Select the variant name and click OK.
