Netlist is created even when footprint is not available

Isha

Earlier I used 17.2 software in which Netlist wouldn't be created if any single footprint is missing.

But now when I am using 17.4 software the Netlist gets created even if Footprints are missing.

It does throw a warning which could be avoided and the problem is identified when the board creation begins some components are missing.

Does anybody have a solution for this.

I checked it on 17.4 and netlister failed if PCB Footprint value is missing from any instance in the design.

It shows error  ERROR(ORCAP-36002): Property "PCB Footprint" missing from instance C1: SCHEMATIC1, PAGE1 (2.00, 2.10) in session log.

Which hotfix of SPB17.4 you are using? To know the version and hotfix details, go to Help > About menu in the tool.

Isha I have made many designs in OrCAD and netlist cannot be possible if footprint is missing.

Mechanical symbol can be the symbol
