How to annotate heterogeneous parts in a design?

When annotating a design with heterogeneous parts, conflicts can occur due to no best fit being found in the design or multiple parts having the same designator.

To resolve these conflicts, OrCAD capture provides an option to enable Capture to auto package and annotate based on the first available part in the design.

The First Match option can be selected in the Annotate option to find the first matched part in the design and package it in one complete package, while adding the other part with the same designator in the next package with an incremented reference number.

This approach is recommended for unconditional annotation with the Preserve User Assigned Valid References option selected, as well as for incremental annotation.

Explore this option and let us know how this results in helpful feature.

Regards,

Yugandhar.
