Unconnected pins DRC warnings not showing for discreate components

Hai Community,

In the below schematic design (Test purpose not actual schematic design), there is IC's (LM741 Opamp)and discreate components (L,R and C).

When I enable the option "Check Unconnected Pins", in the DRC window and Run the DRC check I can see the warnings only for IC U2 and not for discreate components L1, C1 and R1.

Is it possible to enable the unconnected pin checks for the discreate components as well.

Regards,

Rohit Rohan

    Hi Rohit Rohan,

By default, a warning for unconnected pins is only reported for the input pins and input ports.

The settings for displaying DRC for all the unconnected pins are done in the ERC Matrix tab of the Design Rules Check dialog box.

For example, if you want the passive unconnected pins to be reported in DRC, change the [Passive-Unconnected] check box of the ERC Matrix to Warning or Error and click OK. The DRC will give a warning or error for all the unconnected passive pins in your design.

Now click on Apply and Run the DRC, it should report the unconnected discrete pins now. Try and let me know how it goes for you.
