Unable to open multiple DSN files from the file manager

When I try to open the DSN file from the file manager it opens for the first file.

When I try to open another file from the file manager while the first file is open , to my surprise it doesn't open. Every time I will have to browse from the tool itself to open multiple files.

I am using OrCAD 23.1 software S006 hotfix

Earlier all other versions did not have this issue. In 23.1, I also tried with S002, S004 and S005 and the issue persists

Is there any setup to be made.

This is not an issue. Multiple instances of OrCAD Capture cannot be opened at a time (in single session). Once tool is opened and its exe is running in task manager, you can open multiple designs using Browse options from main menu 'File > Open'. In single instance of the tool, you can open multiple design this way.

I am currently opening multiple designs with the Browse option itself.

But some of my colleagues are able to open multiple files from the file manager so just want to know how is it possible

Which version and hotfix of the tool you are using?

Are you using multiple versions of OrCAD Capture like 17.4, 22.1 or 23.1?

Can you try with the sample schematic designs present at ->C:\Cadence\SPB_23.1\tools\capture\samples\Schematic

Also, Can you try to re-browse the path and let me know if this helps.

Yes, I am using OrCAD17.4 and 23.1 versions

Also, tried doing the steps you have suggested yet I am unable to open multiple files at once
