Adding User-Defined Properties to CIS BOM Dialog Box from Title Block

Do you have trouble adding user-defined properties to the title block in OrCAD Capture and viewing them in the CIS BOM dialog box? Even if you enter the properties manually, they might not be recognized as schematic part properties in CIS BOM. Don't worry, we've a solution for you!

Following steps will help meet the requirement in OrCAD Capture:

  • For each user-defined property in the title block, change the display properties to Value only or Name and Value and click OK. Repeat this step for all relevant properties.
  • With these changes are saved, reopen the CIS BOM dialog box. Title block properties should now be available for selection.
  • From the Select Properties section, add the TEST1 property to the Output Format section by using the Add button as shown below.

Note: The CIS BOM dialog box recognizes only the displayed properties as the title block properties. By modifying the display properties of the user-defined properties, you can make them visible and accessible in the CIS BOM dialog box.

Hope you find this helpful to implement in schematic designs.

Regards,

Yugandhar.
