Properties of schematic part automatically reverting to same location after changing the property status from "Do not Display" to "Display only the value"

Hai Community,

I have a schematic symbol lets say C1 capacitor with the value of 100uF. (Below image)

Now I will change position of the value 100uF, (Below image)

Now I will make the value property of the Capacitor C1 as do not display (below image)

Now I will make the value property of the Capacitor C1 as "Only Value".

After I change the value property of the Capacitor C1 as "Only Value", the value 100uF is automatically coming back it its original position (below image for reference)

Is this a bug in the software or am I missing any steps here?

If I am missing something here, can anyone suggest me how to make the property displayed in the same location even if I toggle between the "Do Not Display" Option and "Only Value option".

Can anyone suggest me please.

Regards,

Rohit Rohan

This is expected. Display Properties in the Capture database are based on Properties. Display Properties have attributes related to the display, Font, Color, Position and so on, which Properties do not have. When a Display Property is added, it is derived from the existing Property attributes, with the additional attributes required for display. When the Display Property is deleted, the attributes of the Display Property are lost. When a Display Property is added, it has the default attributes of a Display Property. Given the number of Properties in a DSN file, the file size would increase considerably if every Property were created as a Display Property and, at least "a" reason this isn't done. Given that file size could be less of an issue with modern machines, Capture could be changed to have every Property be a Display Property, even though many of those Properties would never be displayed, but there could have other implications if this were done.
