OrCAD Capture indicating a Startup Issue

Hi,

Every time I start OrCAD Schematic Capture, I get the following error in the Session Log window:

"ERROR:Could not launch sync utility.Check in Window Task Manager if an instance of sync utility running,if not
Run capStartSyncUtility in Capture Tcl Command window to restart it."

I tried to find this capStartSyncUtility TCL script, but it is not on my machine.  Also. there is no mention of this TCL script being implemented in the Capture.INI file.

What is this and can I either disable the issue or how to fix it so I do not keep getting this error message?

Running Cadence Allegro X 23.10.008 on Windows 11 Pro 24H2.

In OrCAD X Capture, the background data sync utility keeps the data in sync between the local disk and the cloud. This background utility is needed to sync the files from your cloud account to your system. If this utility terminates, you will see a message for the same.

To restart the sync utility again, type the following command in Command Window( You can enable command window in OrCAD X Capture by View > Command Window)

Let me know how it goes for you after running this command at your end?

I am presuming that if we are not using cloud features, we can ignore this error message?

As the original poster asked, how can we disable this message from appearing.

Are you looking to disable the Capture login pop-up window which appears to login into the Cloud upon launching the OrCAD X Capture?

Yes, the original post wanted to eliminate the pop-up from indicating any error as he/they have chosen to NOT want to connect to a cloud service.

Navigate to Options> Extended Preferences> Cloud and disable the option 'Connect To Cloud On Application Launch'. When this option is disabled, this will prevent the Cloud login window from appearing when you don't want to use the Cloud functionality and want to use the normal OrCAD Capture features only without being prompted to log in to the Cloud.

This feature is added in SPB 24.1 ISR 3.
