BOM Variants having different components

Is it possible to create BOM variants in OrCAD CIS that would have different components (eg: a resistor instead of a capacitor) at the same positions?

Common in RF designs.  At the beginning, we don't know if that part needs to be a cap or an inductor, and it's initially a zero-ohm resistor.

If the part starts out as an ambiguous no-load(usually a shunt to ground), have a generic symbol:  open rectangle).

We accept that we might have a capacitor with a value of nano-henries.  We're focused on the variant driving the correct MPN to the variant BOM.
