    Hi Jon Lee ,

Could you please check the Schematic Print Theme setting under
Options > Extended Preferences > Schematic?

See which option it’s currently set to: Light, Dark, or Legacy.
Switching themes might help resolve the issue with background color still appearing in the PDF.

    Hope it helps!

The problem is that the background color is printed according to the color set in "Background". You can test this by setting the background color, including switching between "Legacy", "Dark" and "Light".

The main problem is that if you set a background color, the color that prints will be the same as the color you set.

    Hi Jon Lee ,

I tested this with the latest hotfixes of 22.1, 23.1 and 24.1 version.
In all cases, the background color was not printed in the PDF when Schematic Print Theme was set to legacy.

Could you please confirm which version and hotfix you’re currently using?

Also, you can try renaming the cdssetup folder located in your 'Home' directory to reset your preferences—this might help resolve any configuration-related issues.

Let us know if this helps!

Please try setting the print theme to "Dark". The output PDF will include the background color. In practice, any background color should not be included in the PDF.
