After annotate facing issues.

Edit slide getting closed
Edit slide getting closed 24 days ago

Hi All,

Urgent Support need.

I recently annotated my schematics, but when I open Edit Object Property, I see both the old and new reference numbers for the same part. Has anyone encountered this issue before? How can I resolve it?

Hi Edit slide getting closed ,

Here’s how you can address it:

Option 1 – Keep the occurrence value (the yellow one)
Use Accessories > Transfer Occ. Prop. to Instance > Push Occ. Prop into Instance.
This will copy the occurrence value into the instance property so they match.

Option 2 – Remove the occurrence value
Use Design > Remove Occurrence Properties.
This will remove the occurrence properties, leaving only the instance-level reference.

You can then re-run annotation in your preferred mode:
    • Instance mode: One reference per logical part (works well if blocks aren’t reused).
    • Occurrence mode: Unique reference per block occurrence (needed if blocks are reused).

Below is an application note on ASK portal that explains the difference between instance and occurrence mode of annotation in detail.

    Hope this helps!
