OrCAD Capture 24.1 crashes for a specific design

I am using OrCAD CAPTURE 24.1 S008.

Recently, I have experienced that Capture won't open a specific design/project while other projects are working fine.

The message i get when i open that particular design is that it wasn't closed properly last time. as sown in the pictures below. I have tried both Yes and No options in the picture below.

Also tried both options(OK/Cancel) for automatically reloading the previous project. Didnt work.

I have restarted a couple of times to fix this issue hoping that any processes hanging in the Task Manager will be shut off. But it doesn't help.

I have tried moving the same file(only .dsn into a different folder), that didn't help either. So it also rules out that any other backup files or something in that original folder might be causing this issue.

I have also deleted .opj file in that folder, it didn't help.

No matter how i try to open that particular design file, it simply wont open.

I dont know what else i can do from my side to make it work.

If i somehow manage to open that design file, it looks like a text file with thousands of lines with text.

Do you have any backup file of your schematic design, can you check the file location of the schematic design ?

.DBK is a backup of your Capture design, Theis is created as a result of the previous saved of your DSN. The file gets saved in the same directory as your design.

When you save your Capture design, the current DSN will create DBK extension file. If the current DSN becomes corrupt and you have saved it more than once, then DBK file may contain schematic data that can be recovered and used.
