ERROR(ORDBDLL-1242): Design saved in TI mode, cannot be opened in Commercial version, because required PSpice license is not being used by the tool.

I opened my design with OrCAD for TI and saved a minor change, but I do not have a PSpice license, so I can’t open it again with the commercial version of OrCAD. Is there any way to fix this?

Copy only .dsn to some different location and open .dsn from new location in OrCad Capture commercial and see whether it gets opened up or not.

It doesn’t work. Even worse, I can’t open it at all.

This limitation is by design and you need to have a valid PSpice license to open that design in commercial version of OrCAD
