Is there a plan to make Orcad Capture obsolete and give some better schematic tool like system capture?

For the moment I would consider Orcad Capture as one of the worst schematic tools on the market. What is the point to keep it alive. Even more - i don't see any development has been done on this for years - at least for user interface.

It has exceptionally bad user interface. Does not nicely support 4k monitors, it is slow, updating components (many) from CIS is clunky. Writing a TCL script is extremally difficult as documentation is bad and unclear! User interface is not consistent with layout. ECR - I rarely use it as it cause more information noise that provide useful warnings. Library editor: some improvement 8years ago but designing some nice symbol is torture!

Bugs - try resize layout update list - reported long time ago - no action!

I have a brief play with system capture and it looks better - but we can't use it as only one license is allegro and rest are orcad.

So, KILL the orcad Capture !

    Hi,

The PDF Export in Variant Mode is adding some Extra Pages and shoots the Error Message [Error: syntaxerror; OffendingCommand: ----nostringval---- ]

I don't see the issue when generating PDF from Base schematic.  Any idea why ?
