Hierarchical design cut paste causing refdes changes

BoardIQ
BoardIQ 1 day ago

We are using Allegro Capture CIS ver 22.1.

My design is using hierarchical blocks across several pages. When I move a hierarchical block from one page to another by Cut + Paste, the refdes inside the hierarchical block gets changed. This affects our layout of the PCB.

Strange thing about this is that it affects only few hierarchical blocks, whereas it works fine with some hierarchical blocks.

Does anyone else face a similar problem?

Can you try de-selecting Design Level check from Options > Preferences > Miscellaneous and then try to cut paste and share your feedback.

I tried with all combinations in that menu of Auto Reference.

none of them seem to work.

Are you using this in a complex Hierarchical schematic design or a flat schematic design ?
