Allegro X Capture will not launch again after closing the application

Dear Cadence Experts,

I frequently run into an issue where Allegro X Capture 25.1 fails to launch again after closing the software. My operating system is Windows 11 25H2, software build is OrCAD Capture 25.1 S050. This problem is not limited to S050; it also existed in previous releases.

I’ve just found the root‑cause of this issue. Sometimes after closing OrCAD Capture, its background process does not actually exit. Since OrCAD Capture does not allow multiple instances to run simultaneously, there is no response when you try to launch the software again. My screenshot shows that the OrCAD Capture process remains active in Windows Task Manager even after I close the application. Why the process keeps running after the GUI is closed will need further investigation by Cadence experts.
