List of Error codes

mvonahnen

I have been addeing rectangles to power layers to create split planes.  All of a sudden I started getting this error:

W- (SPMHSY-49): Error message number: 8.

 Specfically, what does this mean?

Generally, is there a place to look up error codes?

It is nice to know that after 12 years, This software is still an absolute dog.  I also would like to know what this meaningless error code is. I was also adding GND rectangle to fill in blank areas of a board.

I hope you found your solution, but if not, I found the most reliable way to find out what your error code is is by starting the process to starting a case. Searching your error code does nothing in there support database, but as you start to type your problem out when describing your problem ( making sure to include the error code and much of eh description of the error) the program will look for posts and documents relating to buzzwords it find in your description.

I have had 3 indecipherable error codes pop up with no help form forum posts or from the error code search function, and all 3 times this gave me a solution, but YMMV. If I can't find something with this process, I just actually fill out the form fully and wait for support.
