 Dear all,

In Allegro PCB, when we want to export placement,

we can chose File/Export/placement.

Can we edit it, where is it?

It's a simple ascii text file. You can certainly modify it. Be careful with the syntax.

It's located in the folder you're modifying the board file in. Should be called something like PLACE_TXT.txt or something.

    Good day.

Even if this function were to use skill within the product, the code belongs to Cadence and it would be unlikely that you would be provided with it - chances are that the routine is actually implemented in compiled code though.

To get an idea of how to do this with skill, it might be best to look at an existing published skill function which dumps part properties and modify this to process the data to meet your specific requirements.
