I was wondering if there is a way to extract the NC drill and NC route filenames using Skill?

    Hi,

To my knowledge there is no such function.

You should however be able to extract all the subclass names in class Manufacturing.

Then check if there's any named "nclegend-x-y" where x is start layer and y is end layer (e.g. nclengen-1-4) using nindex.

After drill generation you need to check for drill files named nclegend-x-y.drl nclegend-x-y-np.drl (nonplated) using isFile and the ads_sdart path. Otherwise you would have to check padstacks for plating status to figure out the file names that will be generated.

    Best regards,

    Ole

    Thanks Ole,

I'm a little disappointed that there isn't a function in Skill to extract what I need but you've given me ideas on how to get the job done.

    Best regards,

    Bulldog

Recall that these are stored in a parameter text file and can be easily parsed by SKILL to get the last known setting.  Or, you could force the names by shelling a script...lots of ways to skin this cat.
