SKILL in Librarian Expert

I have folks asking me if there is any way to customize the Librarian expert tool so as to include extra commands in the menu that either call SKILL code or can interface with external languages such as perl.

So I'm asking y'all: Has anyone had a chance to do any work in the Librarian Expert tool? Does it support SKILL or any other programming/scripting language? Is there a place I should look for this information? Is it as much of a PITA as SKILL in Concept? Will this guy ever stop asking questions?
