SKILL routine for shape logical operations (boolean)?

Sonoma

Hi all,

I am looking for a SKILL routine that would allow me to do logical operations on shapes inside the Allegro PCB editor (currently running XL version 16.2). Specifically I'd like to be able to apply a Logical AND, Logical OR, and Logical ANDNOT to two previously existing shapes to create a new shape. I know there is some AXL-SKILL code to do such a thing but have not seen any routines.

 Any ideas on if such a thing exists, and where I could find it?

Regards.

    Indeed these operations are possible.

    Take a look at the axlPolyOperation command.

    The example given is:

    poly1_list = axlPolyFromDB(cline_dbid)
    poly2_list = axlPolyFromDB(shape_dbid)
    res_list = axlPolyOperation(poly1_list poly2_list 'OR)

     Regards, Dave
