License issue with VPN and wired ethernet broadband

Nagaraj Shanmu

Dear All,

I am recently facing License issue when I invoke allegro through VPN using a wired Ethernet broadband.

I have my VPN established, when invoke allegro, the log file shows license is successfully checked out but the Allegro GUI not responding or it hangs.

Modem(Beetel 110bxi) is configured in Bridging mode.

The same setup works with another Broadband service provided(wired configuration but with different Modem-ZTR series)

Allegro version -16.2
Windows XP
Antivirus: Trend Microsoft

Any help/suggestion would be appreciated.

TIA,
Nagaraj.

    Hi Nagaraj

Could it be that your modem has some filthering mechanism that blocks out certain ports?

You could also start allegro in safe mode (without any setup) to see if there's something in your setup that blocks it out. Do this by running "allegro -safe"

    Best regards

    Ole
