Amit2812

I am using Cadence 16.3 & I already design a board in to it. First time I gone through board setup where I imported my component restriction dwg (DXF) file.

Can anybody tell me how I can imort new file into it...

Note : Shall not touch disturb other layers as well as components..

Thanks

Amit

    Hi Amit,

If I understand you correctly, you have a board file with an imported DXF file. You'd like to import another DXF file and add that to the existing board file.

File > Import > DXF will open the DXF In form. You should check the "Incremental addition" checkbox to add the DXF into the existing board file. If you don't, the imported DXF will replace everything in the board file. See Cadence Help for more details.
