"RefDes/Silkscreen_Top" to "Package Geometry/Assembly_Top" shape vicinity violation check

Hi ALL,

I want to choose a component and check the "Air Gap" between its "RefDes/Silkscreen_Top" and "Package Geometry/Assembly_Top". The only measure result i get, using axlAirGap is "air gap" between some point on "Package Geometry/Assembly_Top" shape and xy point of the text object.

I want to create a function which will check "RefDes/Silkscreen_Top" to "Package Geometry/Assembly_Top" shape  vicinity violation.

I'll be glad if someone give me an idea,

Thanks,

Yevgeniy

    Hi Evgy,

you can do it this way, for regular shaped Assembly

    1. Get the Assembly Shape Dbid

    2. Expand it to your needed air gap

    3. Get the Bbox of the resulting expanded polygon

    4. axlBoxSelect with Text set as filter

*** for irregular shapes Assemblies you can use the segments of the shape to expand using your desired airgap and just box select the text using the bBox of the resulting expanded polygons
