Getting Lines in Package Symbol

I'm trying to iterate over all top-level (i.e. not inside some other shape) lines in an Allegro package symbol, that is, when inside the symbol editor, not a full board design.

It's straight-forward in the case of dealing with a board where I can just iterate over all children of some symbol. And when inside the package symbol editor it's easy to get all top-level shape instances using axlDBGetShapes. However, axlDBGetShapes does not include line geometry, like what you might find on the top assembly layer. Also the lines do not seem to be associated directly with the top-level design object.  I've scoured the Allegro SKILL API documentation and I cannot for the life of me find any API calls that would deal with accessing the lines directly when inside the package symbol editing environment.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

 EDIT:

Well I got a working implementation. I used a combination axlSetFindFilter, axlAddSelectAll, and axlGetSelSet. If there's a more direct way to do it I'd still like to know though.

You found the best way to find such objects. The only other alternative would be to use the extract commands.
