Hi all,

Well i am in allegro PCB Design,
I go tools/reports/New then i save Board_ACCURACY, Board_extents, Board_units,
etc... and i put that on text file.

I know how to do that with the user interface, but I need to translate that in
SKILL program in order to automate this informations record.

Could anybody help me?

Best regards,

Yann

    Hi Yann,

First it would be best to post to the correct forum, PCB SKILL

I have no knowledge of how Allegro operates so I cannot really comment.  In the IC tools we create a CDS.log file which contains all of the commands that were issued (through menus, bindkeys, form entries etc.) and so this information might help you in your task if Allegro has a similar kind of logfile?

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Lawrence.

To change Units and Design accuracy use "axlDBChangeDesignUnits" and to change Design Extents you can use the skill function "axlDBChangeDesignExtents" You can refer to Allegro® User Guide: SKILL Reference for these functions.

    Hi

From within skill you can use axlExtractToFile to extract data.

It takes an "extract command file" as input - so you take whatever is in your command file and write that to a file inside skill and then run axlExtractToFile.

    That works really nicely.

See attached file and remove 3 .txt command files and change the last one to suit your needs.

    Best regards

    Ole
