Extract a file.dra

Hi all,

Do you know some free IDE for SKILL language? (Except Cadence for sure) really want to test my script during weekend and holiday but I can't...

How can I extract a file.dra?

I know how to batch a file.brd (axlEtractToFile) but I need to extract a file.dra in SKILL script.

Someone could help me?

Best regards,

Yann

As far as I am aware there is no free IDE for Allegro Skill. I am sure there are some free Lisp utilities but they will be of limited use.

Not quite sure what you want to extract. The extract utilities should work the same for a dra as a brd.

    hi eDave,

The file.dra contains the outline. I mean it contains the block where i put the name, the date, the board Id, the revision of document...).

My project is to automatize the choice the between 5 format of outline. the outline must be adapted to the size of the PCB.

If the dimension of the PCB is 7mm then choose format A4.

The second part of my project is to automatize the filling of my block.  I mean the user write into a txt file the name of the drawer, the date of drawing, the Id of the PCB, ... Then the outline would be filled automatically.

And i don't know if I can extract a file.dra to write into?

Have you got a way to do that?

    Best regards,

    Yann

I think I understand but you don't need to "extract" from the dra. Once you have placed the title block symbol you can find the text that you want to update and change it directly. Dave

    yes you are right Dave.

But I didn't find an axl... function which allows that.

I have to find where the symbol  is...then I change the value of text block and I replace the symbol (because I have to re-center the outline according to the PCB).

Is it right? Do you know a function which place the symbol?
