 Hi eDave

I heard a lot of good stuffs from many people about your skill program - nice job, i got a quiery which i can put on this forum, would it be possilble to align silk text automatically without much manual intervention as it consumes lot of time.

My only suggestion is to discuss the need for comprehensive silkscreen with your customer. For multiple reasons many companies are moving away from 100% silscreen on components. If you can reduce your silkscreen down to key components then the editing task becomes manageable.

I believe that a good assembly drawing and cross-reference file is more useful than full silkscreen for locating components.

    Hi Dave

Thanks for the response,It will be difficult for alignment in complex boards with highly dense components where the component number over thousands, so  can you share any skill file for aligning the silkscreen mainly for major components if available.

     Thanks in advance

    Hi,

I don't have Skill code that does exactly that. It wouldn't be difficult to write some code that moved Silkscreen text to the centre of each symbol where it could fit - at a default orientation (or two).
