problem with axlDeleteByLayer

Greetings,

I'm using axlDeleteByLayer in a Skill script to blindly delete all of the data on some user defined subclasses under the Manufacturing class.  For some reason invoking this command removes data from any "NCLegend" layer that might exist and cuases it to appear on a user defined suclass that gets created later on in the script.

First off, any idea why this might be happening?

 Second, is there another way to blindly delete data from a user defined subclass so the subclass can then be deleted?

 Snippet:

testLayerList = list("MANUFACTURING/AW-1" "MANUFACTURING/AW-2" "MANUFACTURING/AW-3" "MANUFACTURING/AW-4" "MANUFACTURING/AW-5" "MANUFACTURING/AW-6")

axlDeleteByLayer(testLayerList)

Thanks!
