Allegro 16.5 to Mentor Expedition 7.9.5 conversion skill file

 Can any one explain me in detail how to convert the allegro footprint datas to Mentor Expedition file. If anybody is having the script file, please share the same.

  • I'm assuming you have Mentor installed as well. If so, you will find Skill scripts in %SDD_HOME%/translators/skill_scripts.

    Copy all of these to your pcbenv folder. All of the details are documented in the Mentor Install documentation as well as SupportNet

    Procedure

    1. Open the Allegro layout (.brd) design file in the Allegro PCB Editor.
    1. In the Allegro CIW type the following commands:

    skill load “dfl_main.il”
