How to get the symbol owner of an arc or line or other figures?

When I select a figure in PCB editor using SKILL, I often want to know whether the selected arc/line, etc, belongs to a symbol. Is there an reliable way to get its symbol owner's dbid?

Thanks,

You can use attrib objType to determine this

Thanks for your answr. But the objType method is for identity of the obj's type, it doesn't provide the owner's information. I think "->parent" sometimes works, but not always give correct information.

    Any other idea?

->parent should work for lines. However, if you choose line segments the owner may be a shape. Be careful with your filters.
