    Try using the batch utility "dbstat"

    dbstat [-v] [-p] [-t] <filename.ext> ... <designM>

    Dbstat reports the Allegro design revision and platform architecture.

    How does dbstat report to my skill program if I run e.g.

    axlRunBatchDBProgram("dbstat" strcat("dbstat -v " axlCurrentDesign() ".brd"))

    axlRunBatchDBProgramm doesn't have a return value neither it is writing a log file. Is there any chance to get the Current Brd File Version into a variable that I can use.

    axlRunBatchDBProgram can't pipe as far as I know.

    Try:

    system(sprintf(nil, "dbstat -v %s.brd >%s.dat", axlCurrentDesign(), axlCurrentDesign()))
