Hi Helper,

Is it possible to use Skill to fix or retain the net name on a via  when the cline that connects to the via disconnects from a component pin?

Thanks

Wale

    You can add the property RETAIN_NET_ON_VIAS to the net(s) from the Properties tab of Constraint Manager. Set this to On for the specific net.

    If you want to do it with SKILL then

    Open an Allegro board and add the commands one at a time at the Allegro command line.

    Command > skill
    Skill > dbid_n=axlDBGetDesign()
    Skill > net_in=dbid_n->nets
    Skill > prop_name=list("RETAIN_NET_ON_VIAS" "TRUE")
    Skill > foreach(netn net_in axlDBAddProp(netn prop_name))
    Skill >
    With this all nets will now have the property “Retain_net_on_vias”
