Any one out there has an existing SKILL script that list components properties by its Ref Des, Pkg Symbol, Device type, xy coordinates, and also call out properties attached to component instance..

Thanks

    I suspect that you have an incompatible property definition for ASI_Model. You should define it to have a Data Type of "STRING". If it's already defined as REAL you have a problem. You can't change a property definition while it is in use so you will have to write some code to strip off existing properties, delete the original property definition and re-add it correctly after using axlDBCreatePropDictEntry.

    Your logic to determine whether the property is already on the component isn't reliable. It would be easier to just use:

    unless(compdef ->prop ->ASI_MODEL, comp_prop = axlDBAddProp...

    Thanks Dave for your input.. ASI_MODEL is already defined as string ... I got it working by using list instead of ' in comp_prop=axlDBAddProp( item '("ASI_MODEL", comp_ipn))
