axlDBCloak in trigger callback?

I'm not having success using axlDBCloak in the callback function of an open trigger (axlDBCloak is calling another function, as the docs suggest). I've used axlDBCloak with success in the past, so I wonder if this is a function that cannot be executed within a trigger callback.

Once I added axlDBCloak, all the code in the callback function stopped executing at axlDBCloak. Code before axlDBCloak is still executed, but not even the first line in the function called by axlDBCloak is ran. I tried various g_mode/lg_mode arguments without success. I can also get Allegro to crash with some combinations of arguments to axlDBCloak.

Can anyone confirm axlDBCloak cannot be used in a trigger callback, or tell me I'm wrong?

Only to say I think you are correct. I can't find documentation to support this.

If you look at the documentation for axlTriggerSet, it suggests to keep processing at a minimum  in a trigger callback. Using axlDBCloak implies that you need to do work that might take a long time. So I would think that it would be a bad idea to use axlDBCloak in a trigger callback.
