deleteFile: permission denied

Hello Group,

Using skill, I create text file CUSTOM.DLT, and then close it. I use this template file to place drill table from Manufacturer->NC->Drill Legend in the Allegro. Now I need to delete this CUSTOM.DLT using skill code but allegro says

E- *Error* deleteFile: permission denied - "CUSTOM.DLT"

Looks like Allegro is capturing file and does not allow to delete from skill. Even if I simply select this from folder and hit delete, I got message

The action can't be completed because the file is open in Cadence Allegro.

There is no command active in Allegro and in the skill code, I closed its file pointer as well but not sure where and how come Allegro using this file. Only solution I found is, close & re-open Allegro. Please share your thoughts what I am missing here. Thanks.

    Hi

Everytime I've experienced this problem its been due to something going wrong in my code resulting in the code never reaching the file close line.

If you're using the axlDMFileOpen which I would recommend, then when you axlDMClose you could check the result and print it to the command line to actually see that the file is closed correctly.

    when(axlDMClose(myfile) axlMsgPut("File was closed"))

    Best regards

    Ole
