Dynamic unused pad suppression

How do you setup dynamic unused pad suppression in 17.2?

When I click on setup unused pads suppression I get " Command not found: unused pads".

I noticed under cross section editor there is a tab unused pads suppression; however, when I check Dynamic unused pads suppression I get an error: ERROR(SPCMGR-510): "Dynamic unused pads suppression' is enabled but no layers have pins or vias selected for suppression.

Set flag "Unused pin suppression" or "Unused via suppression" for layer(s) and try again.

This was so easy to setup in 16,6 Disappointed

Thanks

What's the exact 17.2 version that you are running? in Cross Section, double-click on the "Physical >>" cell to open up physical to select "what" you want suppressed. There is currently a bug that the cross section settings may need a few "cycles" through setting the suppression options and OK to get the settings to "stick", this should be corrected by the end of this month. Placing this question in the PCB Design forum may have got a faster response since this is nothing related to programming using SKILL in PCB Editor.

Your exact version of PCB Editor should look like 17.2-2016.p999 or 17.2-2016.s999, in Help>About.

OK, not the latest but, anyway, you would need to "expand" the Physical section in Setup>Cross Section to get to the boxes for Unused Pin Suppression and Unused Via Suppression, otherwise you will have "no layers ... " set to suppress. ("unused pads" is no longer a command in 17.2, hence the "not found" message)
