[OrCAD PCB] Undo history constantly disappears

Hello

While working on our PCB designs, the undo history constantly clears out and we cannot undo changes recently made.

Play this video

It seems like every other command triggers this erasure, rendering the undo / redo functionality practically useless.

Is this a feature or bug?

So we contacted our channel partner, and they confirmed that running commands or tools that open up dialog windows will erase your history, and it's allways been like this.

This would be considered a high priority bug in any other software, and OrCAD should be treated no different if Cadence wants to keep their position in the market. A bug report has therefore been filed.

...and it will always be like this. At least no difference more than two years later. It really is a mystery why they ignore this basic function. Only thing I can think of is a huge flaw in the core of the software that prevent them from not erasing the undo history.

Moreover you can't undo moving parts.
Many times I must save the design before I move groups of components because in case of mistake I won't be able to undo the placement.
